average speed (Vm): is defined as the ratio of the total distance traveled by a body (d) and total time (t) used in this way. Vm = d / t
Average speed (Vm vector): The average speed is the ratio between the movement performed and the total time.
Velocity is a vector quantity because it depends on one direction, while speed is a scalar quantity because it depends on the direction.
